The digital currency (English: digital currency, also translated into the numeral currency) is an alternative currency in the form of electronic money. At present, no central bank of any government has indicated that it wants to issue a digital currency, nor does it necessarily have a base currency and a central bank.
It differs from virtual money in the virtual world because it can be used for real goods and services transactions, not confined to online games. The early digital currency (the digital gold currency) is a form of electronic money named after the weight of gold. Today's digital currencies, such as Bitcoin, Wright, and Ppcoin, are electronic money that is created, distributed, and circulated on the technology of checksum cryptography. It is characterized by the use of peer-peers network technology to distribute, manage and circulate money, theoretically avoiding the approval of the bureaucracy, so that everyone has the right to issue currency.
